We are Now Accepting Proposals for the Repair and Preventative Maintenance of Eight Parking Garages

Sealed bid proposals will be received by the Reading Parking Authority for the Repair and Preventative Maintenance of Eight Parking Garages. The Work generally consists of structural concrete repairs, post-tensioning system repairs, various other structural repairs, installation of waterproofing elements, and various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrades.

Bid Documents may be obtained by contacting DESMAN via telephone at 216-736-7110 or email at edetullio@desman.com. Bid Documents (in PDF format) will be provided to prospective bidders via a link to Google Drive on Tuesday, May 7, 2019.

Bids shall be received at the office of Thomas MacDougal, Executive Director, Reading Parking Authority, 613 Franklin Street, Reading, PA 19602 no later than 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 21, 2019. Bids will be opened publicly in the Amphitheater Room at the Reading Double Tree by Hilton located at 701 Penn Street, Reading, PA 19601, on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 2:30 pm. Any person that is interested in attending the Bid Opening is invited to come to the Amphitheater Room at the Reading Double Tree by Hilton. All bids shall be effective for sixty (60) calendar days.

A pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 10:00 am in the Amphitheater Room at the Reading Double Tree by Hilton located at 701 Penn Street, Reading, PA 19601. While not mandatory, all prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Shuttle service to the garages will be provided if there is inclement weather.

Bid Security in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to provide a Payment Bond for 100% of the contract amount and a Performance Bond for 100% of the contract amount prior to starting the Work. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates are applicable and must be paid throughout the duration of this project as set forth in the Contract Documents
